circular needles and garter stitch

The dress I am knitting calls for #6 needles.
First 10 rows are garter stitched. I want to work on circular needles.

How do I get the garter rows on circulars?

YOUR ANSWER

You have a couple of choices depending on how you intend to use the circular needles.

If you are knitting in the round (in a circle) then you will have to do one row knit and one row purl to get a garter stitch effect.

If you are knitting straight on the circular needles, doing the first row one way and then turning the work and knitting back the other way, you can just knit the garter stitch as you normally would.

Notice the different look and feel on some pages?

I am currently moving all of the pages to a new CSS driven template but with around 700 pages it is going to take me a while to get it done.

So in the meantime, I hope you will forgive the switch from one look to another as you navigate through the site...
