debbie bliss bootee (sheep boot)

I am knitting a baby's bootee and have come to line that tells me to:

Next row (p next st tog with correponding st 9 rows below) to end.

I have tried to purl together stitches from rows 9 apart but my knitting has become all bunched up and it doesn't feel right.

Can you help? thanks

YOUR ANSWER

Without seeing the pattern can't be sure, but I think the bunching is probably the whole point.

What do the finished bootees look like - there should be a picture on the pattern? If your knitting looks similar, then you are probably doing it correctly. If not, get back to me and I will see if I can work it out for you.

Notice the different look and feel on some pages?

I am currently moving all of the pages to a new CSS driven template but with around 700 pages it is going to take me a while to get it done.

So in the meantime, I hope you will forgive the switch from one look to another as you navigate through the site...
