Difficult pattern
by Fariha
Hi, I'm designing a Cardigan for ladies, the pattern says: YOUR ANSWERFor each yfwd there should be a matching decrease so you have to make sure that if you include one in the decrease at the end of the row, you exclude the other. So for example on the first row: Row 1: k1 yfwd k1 *s1 k2tog k1 yfwd k1 yfwd k1, repeat from * till last 5 stitches , s1 k2tog k1 yfwd k1 You would start with k2 instead of k1 yfwd k1. The matching decrease for yfwd is in the sl1 k2tog so eliminating the first yfwd effectively decreases 1 sts at the beginning of the row. For the second row you would p2 tog at the beginning and end of the row. For the third row you would start with k1, sl1 k2tog, as the accompanying fwd has been eliminated in the previous row. Keep working row by row, counting at the end to make sure that you end up with 2 less stitches on each of the 10 decrease rows. Hope this helps...
