Do not know how to knit the cable part of the scarf

Please explain this:

4/5 RC (4 over 5 right cross) SL 5 sts to cable needle and hold to back, k4, then k5 from cable needed.

4/5 LC (4 over 5 left cross) Sl 4 sts to cable needle and hold to front, k5, then k4 from cable needle.

YOUR ANSWER

4/5 RC (4 over 5 right cross)

Slip the next five stitches onto a spare needle (or a double pointed cable needle) and hold them out of the way at the back of the work. Knit the next four stitches on your left hand needle. Then slip the five held stitches back onto the left hand needle and knit them (or knit them straight off the cable needle).

4/5 LC (4 over 5 left cross)

This one is almost the same except you slip 4 stitches onto the spare needle (instead of 5) and knit the next 5 stitches on the left hand needle. Then you knit the 4 stitches on the spare needle.

Notice the different look and feel on some pages?

I am currently moving all of the pages to a new CSS driven template but with around 700 pages it is going to take me a while to get it done.

So in the meantime, I hope you will forgive the switch from one look to another as you navigate through the site...
