Dobule decrease

by Mariette
(Vancouver)

I am knitting a tam, and knitting in the round.

I'm at the point where i am starting a double decrease at the beginning of the round, and I'm not to sure how to do it.

Note reads:

On first double decrease of rnd. Slip last stitch from previous rnd as to knit, remove marker, k2tog, psso. Move st just worked to left needle, replace marker, return st to right needle and continue rnd.

Thanks

YOUR ANSWER

Slip last stitch from previous rnd as to knit.

When you get to the last stitch of the previous round, slip it off the left hand needle point onto the right needle point knit wise (inserting the needle from the front to the back of the stitch as you would if you were knitting the stitch).

Remove marker

Take the stitch marker off the needle.

K2tog, psso.

Knit the next two stitches together. Lift the slipped stitch up and over the stitch you have just formed.

Move st just worked to left needle, replace marker, return st to right needle.

Slip the stitch you have just worked on off the right hand point back onto the left hand point. Place your marker on the right hand point (before the stitch you have just made) and then slip that stitch back onto the right hand needle.

Double Decrease for tam at beginning of round
by: Mariette

Ok i did exactly what you suggested.

I'm on a 16 stitch repeat, and I always end up with fifteen.

YOUR ANSWER

I am sorry Mariette, I really don't know what to tell you to do next.

Either we are both doing something wrong or there is an error in the pattern and without being able to sit next to you while you are doing the row or to read through the complete pattern I am at a bit of a loss.
