I don't know what this pattern means?

by Jennine

Here is the line in my pattern

"Knit next st tog with corresponding st picked up along cast on edge. Repeat across row. "

I am fairly new to knitting. Can someone please tell me exactly how to decrease the stitches in this manner? I only know how to knit two together. Not sure what the above line means to do exactly.

Thank you soooo much !!!!!

YOUR ANSWER

It is difficult to know exactly without seeing the preceding instruction in your pattern, but I am assuming that you have two sets of stitches, one lot that you have been knitting up to this point and another set that you have picked up along an edge.

Basically what the instructions mean are that you take the first (or next) stitch from one set and knit it together with the first (or next) stitch from the second set of stitches.

Notice the different look and feel on some pages?

I am currently moving all of the pages to a new CSS driven template but with around 700 pages it is going to take me a while to get it done.

So in the meantime, I hope you will forgive the switch from one look to another as you navigate through the site...
