I dropped the last stitch of a row

by Debbie

How do I fix it?

It should be a purl stitch and I now have two loops at the end of the row. Thanks for your help.

YOUR ANSWER

Hi Debbie,

The best advice I can give you is to unpick your knitting down to the row that you dropped the stitch on.

Probably not the answer you wanted, but it is the easiest way to fix it.

You could try to knit that particular stitch up to the current row but it would be difficult to do on the edge of your knitting and it will pull the surrounding stitches tighter.

Your other alternative is to get out your sewing needle and fix the stitch to your knitting so that it won't unravel and then continue knitting on one less stitch. Some knitters might prefer to do this (quicker and easier) but believe me, even if no-one else knows that you started out with more stitches than you finish with, you will know and it is likely to irritate you no end.

I would just unpick it.
