I KNOW HOW TO INC 1 ... k into front & back, but HOW DO

YOU DO IT ON A PURL STITCH???

I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT DONE AND HAVE TRIED ... OBVIOUSLY

The way to do it is to twist the loop when you are knitting the make one stitch.

If you just purl the loop you will end up with a hole, so what you do is to pick up the loop with the left hand needle. Then you knit the purl stitch into the back of the loop instead of the front. This will twist the stitch and eliminate the hole.

Notice the different look and feel on some pages?

I am currently moving all of the pages to a new CSS driven template but with around 700 pages it is going to take me a while to get it done.

So in the meantime, I hope you will forgive the switch from one look to another as you navigate through the site...
