Knitting abbreviations KO

by Mary Recinos
(California)

I am knitting a chemo cap and one of the knitting abbreviations is K0. I don't know what this means.

Thank you.

YOUR ANSWER

Hi Mary

Is the abbreviation KO or K0?

If it is KO then I'm afraid I have no idea as I have never seen this abbreviation before, but is it is K0 (as in K zero) then it means to knit 0 stitches.

You see this quite often in patterns with multiple sizes. With a repeating pattern each size will start at a different point in the pattern and occassionally one of the sizes starts at the beginning of the repeating pattern.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I too have encountered this tonight while knitting mitten @ thumb tip

*K2 tog, K2,repeat from * across row ending with
K-O ( K 0, K 2 tog )
K2 tog, K-O )

K dash Capital O is different from parantheses
K space #0

my book says:
K-O .. Do not work st.row,or round

I don't understand this can anyone help ??

All this means is that you start the instructions in the brackets right from the first stitch.
