Knitting in the Round

When I use double pointed needles I always have ladders no matter what size yarn or needle I use.

I have tried pulling the yarn secure and that does not work. I need help please.

YOUR ANSWER IS COMING

Hi Cindy,

I personally dislike using double pointed needles - I always feel as if I have more than thumbs and I tend to have the same problem you do with the 'ladders'.

The only way I know of to minimise the ladders is to keep your tension as even as possible and to hold the needles as close together as possible when you are moving from one to another.

Not much help I know. But I have asked a good friend of mine about your question, she has been knitting for decades (she would kill me if she knew that I was saying that!) and she uses double pointed needles far more often than I do.

She has promised to play around with some knitting to see if she can suggest anything to help, but she will not be able to do so until she has some free time.

As soon as she gets back to me I will update the page with her advice. If you would like me to let you know when the new information is available, send me a message through my contact form (I need your permission to email you) and I will let you know when it goes live on the site.

Notice the different look and feel on some pages?

I am currently moving all of the pages to a new CSS driven template but with around 700 pages it is going to take me a while to get it done.

So in the meantime, I hope you will forgive the switch from one look to another as you navigate through the site...
