Not everyone who wants to knit has a friend or a relation who can take the time to teach them. So if that is you, what can you do?
Teach yourself using a good knitting book or a knitting dvd from my Amazon Picks page!
While I personally prefer books, if you are a visual learner a good dvd can be just what you need to get you started on your knitting and to help you manage any problems you encounter. Pictures of particular techniques in books can be helpful but moving pictures have the advantage of showing you the 'how' to bits from start to finish, not only what to do but how someone else actually does it!
