How do you repair a frayed ribbed cuff on a favorite aran isle sweater?

YOUR ANSWER

If you still have some of the wool the sweater was knitted with, you could try picking up stitches from the bottom of the cuff and knitting a couple of rows down.

I would unpick the cast on to expose an un-frayed row of loops and use those to knit a couple of rows of rib, then cast off to form a new bottom edge.

Yarn is not available so am going to try a contrast color in a similiar yarn. Thanks for the tip on going back beyond the frayed part.

Notice the different look and feel on some pages?

I am currently moving all of the pages to a new CSS driven template but with around 700 pages it is going to take me a while to get it done.

So in the meantime, I hope you will forgive the switch from one look to another as you navigate through the site...
