How do I do a YO2?

Does it mean to make two separate yarn overs (one after the other) or does it mean to wrap the yarn twice on one YO stitch?

YOUR ANSWER

Usually YO2 means that you have to wrap the yarn around the needle twice.

If you check the instructions for the next row in your pattern, you will probably find that you have to complete two stitches in the double loop.
