How to join top to back of matinee jacket

by betty

A friend asked me to finish a baby jacket without a pattern.

I have the top,(already knitted from neck to chest sleeves are already knitted on) already on a circular needle with 102 stitches on needle and the back on separate needle with 57 stitches how do I join the two pieces together or do you think they are from different patterns.

I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Hi Betty

To be honest I really don't know how to answer your question. I would probably have a better shot at it if I could see the pieces you have.

Although you have done a great job of describing the two pieces you have I think it would be very difficult for anyone to advise you without being able to see the two pieces.

I have added your question to my open questions page, hopefully one of the other visitors to the site might be able to offer assistance.
