The Embossed Check Stitch knitting stitch pattern is a relatively easy knitting stitch pattern to do and it is a very effective pattern.

This is one of the easiest knitting stitch patterns you will find.  All of the rows in the pattern are either all knit or all purl so the hardest part is keeping count of the number of rows in each stripe.

The Garter Stitch Stripe is knitted over any number of stitches that you want and 10 rows.

1st row (right side): Knit all stitches.
2nd row: Purl all stitches.

Repeat the last 2 rows one more time.

5th to 10th row: Purl all stitches.

Repeat these ten rows until your work is the length required.
