This version of the openwork diamond lace knitting stitch pattern is worked over a multiple of 10 stitches plus six over 16 rows. It is considered an fairly advanced knitting stitch pattern but with a little care and patience anyone can master it.
Assumed knowledge includes:
1st row(right side) : K3, k2tog, * yfwd, k1, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso),k5, k2tog; rep from * to last st, yfwd, k1.
2nd and every alt row: Purl.
3rd row: K2, k2tog, * yfwd, k3, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso),k3, k2tog; rep from * to last 2 sts, yfwd, k2.
5th row: K1, k2tog, * yfwd, k2tog, yfwd, k1, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso) twice, k1, k2tog; rep from * to last 3 sts, yfwd, k2tog, yfwd, k1.
7th row: K2tog, * yfwd, k2tog, yfwd, k3, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso), yfwd, (sl1, k2tog, psso); rep from * to last 4 sts, yfwd, k2tog, yfwd, k2.
9th row: K1, yfwd, * (sl1, k1, psso),k5, k2tog, yfwd, k1, yfwd; rep from * to last 5 sts, sl1, k1, psso,k3.
11th row: K2, yfwd, *(sl1, k1, psso), k3, k2tog, yfwd, k3, yfwd; rep from * to last 4 sts, sl1, k1, psso, k2.
13th row: K1, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso), yfwd, *(sl1, k1, psso),k1, (k2tog, yfwd) twice, k1, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso), yfwd; rep from * to last 3 sts, (sl1, k1, psso), k1.
15th row: K2, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso), yfwd, *(sl1, k2tog, psso), yfwd, k2tog, yfwd, k3, yfwd, (sl1, k1, psso), yfwd; rep from * to last 2 sts, (sl1, k1, psso).
16th row: As 2nd row.
Repeat these sixteen rows to the length required..
This all over lace pattern, repeats the pattern as given above over a multiple of ten stitches plus 6.

kfb or knit front and back is a method of increasing your number of stitches by one and involves knitting into a single stitch twice.

Crochet and knitting are two different yarn crafts, and I do tend to get a little annoyed when TV shows or movies get them mixed up.
